Hypertext 2004 has made arrangements for both on-campus and off-campus accommodations.
On campus accommodations are the recommended housing option for people attending the conference. Attendees will stay in beautiful, modern rooms in College 8, a quiet housing enclave on campus, nestled among redwood and oak trees, with stunning views over the Monterey Bay. Rooms have wired Internet connections, and there are many wireless enabled locations as well. People staying on campus are ideally situated for participating in nightly social events held in the College 8 Cafe.
Rooms are available within student apartments. Attendees may select a single room, or a room shared with one other attendee. Rooms are part of an apartment suite that includes a common living room that is ideal for post-conference discussion, and a kitchen with working refrigerator (a stove will be present, but not operational for reasons of liability). An in-suite bathroom will be shared with up to three other attendees in your suite.
On-campus accommodations are within short and easy walking distance of conference events. Please inform the conference organizers if you have limited mobility and wish to stay in on-campus housing.
Parking is available for people staying on campus, and there are many public transportation options available for people who do not bring a car to get off-campus and into downtown Santa Cruz.
On-campus housing prices include three meals daily.
Single room: $105 per person, per night
Shared room: $88 per person, per night
Rates above are inclusive of all taxes and fees. Conference attendees staying on-campus receive a $50 registration discount, and make reservations using the conference registration web site. Please enquire about full suite rates if you wish to bring your family and stay on campus.
